WHAT UP

WHO CAN DRAW
Hey guys! We need some help with the #cl site - but a very specific style of help. We'd like a bunch more textures for our backgrounds, similar in color scheme and design to the one currently at the new site's demo page.

We also need high-resolution, macro-y style photographs of bread. Any kind of bread is acceptable, but I think we'd prefer bread without foreign objects (nuts or cranberries or Lego guys). Post a comment or talk to one of our guys if you can provide these things! Thank you!

The site is making a lot more progress than the 2008 incarnation ever did, though, but a bit more slowly: I (j2) seem to be spearheading this, and I'm spread thinly nowadays, so I don't have much time, but it is DEFINITELY worth acknowledging the willing and capable hands of *snowmanman, `electricnet, and ~dpsleep, who have been making AWESOME STRIDES towards completion! Give them some money!

FOR THE REST OF Y'ALLS
We've DOUBLED our Twitter presence! Accompanying @32flatbreads, our internationally intermittent torrent of links is the brand new @WhatIfMrPringle, a well-oiled machine (thanks to `electricnet) that spits out Mr. Pringle-themed questions generated by #caffeinelounge (largely ~Lavos12 and =j2n4me) EVERY DAY. If you guys tweet, you should follow them! If you guys know guys who tweet, you should tell them!

GROUPS are coming! We're going to be one! I guess that means we need money. You don't have to give it to us, though - give it to YOURSELVES! We're doing Secret Tramp-O-Claus again this year, so prepare your cash hands! I guess the registration page will go up sometime in November, when it's not ENTIRELY ridiculous to be thinking about the holiday season.

SPEAKING OF, you may recall that HOLIDAY48 ended last year. While it has been argued that that is the only good thing we do, it is a BURDEN OFF OF OUR TIRED BACKS. There will definitely be wintertime festivities this year, and probably SOME of them will be audible. We're not dead! We swear!

SPEAKING OF THAT, you may recall that we did things called "#CLALLOWEEN" in years past. We're not doing that again. We MIGHT try to replace it with something, but probably not. (And while we're on the subject o- er, speaking of holiday-founded radio shows, ICE THROWING will CERTAINLY be taking place again, on its usual date of December 31.)

Davefest died, but there's still a bunch of half-finished songs floating around on my hard drive. I guess they'll be released as they're finished. There are other musical plans in the works, including a few #cl-y music things and a syndicated radio deal.

Finally, as mentioned, the #cl site is on the slow march towards completion. Take a look at our demo page - half the links don't work, but whatever! And let us know if you have any suggestions!
